Thursdays session will include  visits to and exchanges with:

 

  1.  Mændenes hjem

     an organization that offers a wide range of social and health services (shelter,
     drop-inn, café,  injection room, medical care, dental care) for people who are
      homeless, drug users  or otherwise vulnerable.


 

  2. Pensionatet  Mette Marie

     a residence for dual diagnosis users in the age of 35-60 years.
     The residence is based on a humanistic philosophy, and is aiming to create a safe,
     ”non-institutional” environment, in cooperation with the residents, their relatives
      and other partners. 

 

  3. Aktivitetscentret
         Sundholm

     an activity centre/employment offer to socially vulnerable citizens who live in
     homelessness, with addiction and/or with mental health problems.
     The activity centre is a public institution within the municipality of Copenhagen

 

  4. Københavns Kommunes
         Hjemløseenhed

     The unit of the municipality who handles case management and support efforts
      to homeless people in Copenhagen. Part of the unit’s work is an “ACT-effort” based
      on the Housing First principle.

 

  5. projekt UDENFOR

     NGO working to improve the conditions of the individual vulnerable person
     on the streets, and to generate knowledge of, and attention to, the excluding factors
     of society in order to reduce them.
 

 

  6. Psykiatrisk gadeteam

     A street team (from the Capital-Region Psychiatry) consisting of doctors,
     psychiatric nurses and other health professionals, who in corporation with outreach
     social workers, provide outreach psychiatric assistance to homeless people.

  • HEALTH SERVICES for CURE: Hospital Institution & Services in Community

  • SHELTERS – DROP IN – Services for CARE and assistance of primarily needs;

  • HOME and dwelling, housing services  at different level;

  • PARTICIPATION and citizenship and job.

 

2.     HOW YOUR SERVICE goes to meet homeless  - where they are  - who do not have access  to institutional services and seem
        to refuse all personal service?
