Dear  Colleague,

 

                              SMES-Europa have the pleasure to invites you and your Institution to participate in the project ‘Dignity and Well-being’, which is going to take place in Warsaw on  1°-2°-3° October 2015.

 

The purpose of this project is to bring attention to the voice expressed or not of these persons, living in chronically way without own habitation, in the street or in emergency shelters, in condition of absolute social exclusion. General object of this D-&-WB project is: to deepen listen and understand their voice & needs; to identify some innovative and effective practices; to recommend some priorities in social & health policy.
The project will develops through three programs of study/exchange:

*   1st in Warsaw: 1-3 October ;      remember the 10/10 is the World Mental Health Day

*   2nd in Athens :  Mai 2016 

*   3rd  in Florence   June 2016,

*   4rd  in Copenhagen  October 2016  and will concludes with
 

XIV European SMES conference in Brussels in December 2016.

      1er Exchange program - Warsaw  2  October 2015, between 09:00  to 17.00.

This 1st workshops will be based on case studies of individual persons describing their health and mental health status, social situation and interventions made on their behalf by help agents.
The participants who manage to arrive the 1st October  before 14:00, will have an opportunity to visit  in the afternoon some of the centres assisting the homeless and mentally ill people in Warsaw.  The analysis of the life situations of this people, will be introduced by the local responsible of each of these
fourth sectors:

a)    Mental health institutions & community services; 

b)    Emergency shelters;

c)     Monitored housing; 

d)    Outreach team,

in order  to  animate the  specific  network on 2nd October.  

The results of these workshops will be at the basis of the 14th European seminar, where the participants will prepare the priorities and recommendations to present both to local policy makers and administrators, as to Europeans, through a hearing in the European Parliament.

Additional meeting on the morning of Saturday, 3rd October , will be dedicated to the situation, possible solutions and potential cooperation between Western and Polish partners in assisting the Polish Euro-migrants finding themselves in the street in difficult health condition..

Dignity and well-being are the keywords, which were oriented - from le1992 - the social mission and initiatives of

SMES Europa. We count - with your active collaboration - to continue to perform at best this initiative in favour of people living in situations of extreme social and health conditions.
